Every guide states its assumptions, dates any price-related figure, and names the city and currency a worked example belongs to. Illustrative figures are labelled illustrative — we do not publish rate indices and would be sceptical of a software vendor who did.
Each page carries a byline naming who wrote it, the measurement standard it is written against, the market it covers, the date it was last reviewed and what it assumes. Where a page has been checked by a named chartered surveyor, the byline names them and gives the date of their review. If you find an error, tell us — we publish corrections.
