It is a one-time payment. There is no renewal and no expiry, and the copy you have keeps working whatever we do later. If the price changes for new buyers it does not change for you. The only limit tied to what you paid is how many devices the licence covers.
3 devices on a Pro licence — the computer you work at, the phone or tablet you carry on site, and one spare. A Team pack covers 5 people on one shared key with 10 devices between them, for $199.
A browser on a tablet counts as a device of its own. A device that has not checked in for 60 days gives its place back on its own, so a replaced machine clears itself; email support if you need the place back sooner.
Save a recovery file once you have activated — ⋮ → Unlock Pro → Save recovery file — and keep it with your backups. Restoring it brings the licence back without spending one of your 3 devices, because it restores that machine's original identity rather than claiming a new place. It works offline.
Keep the file as private as the key itself: anyone holding it can restore your licence.
Two things: you are capped at 2 projects, and you cannot export. Everything that makes the bill — taking-off, build-ups, provisional sums, the whole rate library with import, apply, capture and uplift — is there and not limited.
That is deliberate. Price a real job, then decide whether issuing it is worth the one-time fee.
Only twice. Activating a licence key needs a connection the first time on each device; after that the key re-checks quietly about every 3 days while you are online, and Pro keeps working with no connection at all for up to 30 days. The AI assistant needs a connection when you use it, because the request goes to Groq.
Everything else — measuring, pricing, the library, exporting — works with no connection at all.
